About us
This project originated with our founder, Isaac Agaba, currently undergoing theological training and serving as a pastor in a local church. While studying liturgies in traditional and contemporary church settings, he observed one of key to successful God-glorifying and gospel-proclaiming services was: thorough planning and clarity on responsibilities. In addition, the use of regulative principle passively communicates to the congregants that they worship a God of order.
Churchty was initially created to meet the specific needs of our local church. However, we later discovered that we are not alone. While other existing church software offers numerous features, our observation revealed that less attention has been dedicated to service orders, and some options are costly for church plants when adding more users.
Churchty is created with the aim of supporting numerous local churches for free. That’s why the software is being developed by volunteer Christian software developers in Europe and Africa. These dedicated individuals have sacrificed their valuable skills and time, stepping away from personal duties and families to make this happen and to glorify God with the skills He has given them. We appreciate these individuals, as without them, it would have been difficult to make it happen.
Churchty does not have the goal of being a profit-oriented company; therefore, we may not release many features at once. However, with God’s grace, we are committed to gradually introducing outstanding features. Our dedication lies in helping local churches glorify God by automating repetitive tasks, assisting in advanced planning, offering a unified view of past and future services, and providing insights based on previous services.
